Homai Principal first blog ever

Kia Ora everyone, Rosina Wikaira here from Homai School, Manurewa Auckland. I have been working collaboratively with 3 other school Principals since 2015 in an online collaborative community of practice, where we have shared leadership practices, celebrations, share relevant information, share what works well in and across our schools, for support, celebrating successes and problem solving within and across our schools.

For a principal this platform has given me support, strength and courage to engage in an online community and keep myself up to date with professional leadership.

    Awesome first post Rosina. Was just having a mental break (breakdown haha) from my literature review and thought I'd check my Google+ notifications...and there you were. Churr! Hope yours is going well. Time for a cuppa tea me thinks:)

Kia Ora Koutou Katoa, Wow time is certainly flying past us as we enter week 4 of term 3. I want to say how amazing all our staff has been, supporting each other through illness and family loss as well as keeping our focus on teaching and learning that promotes student progress and positive outcomes for all. As we continue to be a champion for every child, may we activate those positive RbL (relationships based learning) tools as part of our optimal conditions in the classroom - prior learning, feedback ( task / process / self-regulation) feed forward, cooperative, power sharing.
